Getting Here

Airport - Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG)

The airport you will be flying into is Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG). The airport is about a 15-20 minute drive to the Old City and taxis/Ubers are readily available outside.

Flights

There are direct flights to Cartagena from New York, Atlanta and Miami. Another common route is to connect through Bogota or Medellin. Tip: it might be cheaper to search for flights to Bogota and then book one of the dozens of daily connecting flights to Cartagena.

We recommend arriving by Wednesday night if you intend to join for the Island Day or otherwise by Friday morning.

Reputable airlines that fly to Cartagena are Delta, Avianca, JetBlue, Copa, United and American. It would be best to avoid low-cost regional airlines such as Viva and Wingo. For all flights, be sure to check/purchase baggage allowances.

Progga has made a list of all the ideal flights here and is tracking the major flights - join the wedding WhatsApp to get notification for when is best to book!

Passports & Visas

We recommend filling out this form with 72 hours of arrival to speed up customs & immigration.

Those holding US or EU passports do not need visas but make please make sure your passport is valid 6 months post travel. To renew your U.S. passport please click here: Passport Renewal.

Accommodations

Voilá Centro Histórico

Voilá Centro Histórico is the recommended wedding hotel for our guests. It is a newer hotel with nice, spacious rooms and is in a very central location (within 5-15 minute walk to all of the events).

We have reserved a room block here. Book through this link to receive our negotiated rates or enter '#Progga&Dan' as the promo code.

Rooms range from $170-$270 a night but these are non-refundable rates. Breakfast and a welcome cocktail is included.

Cinco Quintas Hotel Boutique By SOHO

If you're looking for a more luxurious experience, Cinco Quintas is a great upscale option that's still at a great price for what it is. It also opened very recently and was very much made for the 'gram. It has a fantastic rooftop with pool and great restaurant and is also a 5-15 min walk from all events.

Rooms start at ~$240 a night and there are refundable options.

Airbnb

There are plenty of lovely Airbnb's in Cartagena that are great for groups. They are beautiful colonial villas that usually come with a pool, security, chef, etc.

Most will range from $50-100 per person per night for the ones that are within walking distance to the venue. We recommend you stay within the Historic Center/Old Town (aka the Walled City) or the neighborhood of Getsemani.

We also have contacts that know the owners directly and can help you avoid the Airbnb service fees - reach out if you would like to be connected or if you need help figuring out a group (or use the wedding WhatsApp to coordinate)!

Getting Around

Airport Transfers

From the airport, we recommend using the taxi stand/kiosk or Uber. To the airport, we recommend having your hotel or a local business help you hail a taxi or using uber. Ubers to/from the airport should cost ~$10 or less.

To arrange travel for a group, we recommend reaching out to Carlitos from Natal Concierge (+57 310 7037903) for very affordable airport transfers.

On Sunday, we will have shuttles taking folks to the airport from the brunch leaving Townhouse around 12:15pm.

General Transportation

Cartagena is an extremely walkable city, but there are also plenty of taxis and Ubers available.

We would not recommend booking a rental car. Excursions will typically include transport from your hotel.
